Daspalla, April 6, 2025: (Reported by Subash Chandra Barik): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) marked its 45th Foundation Day with grand celebrations across Daspalla Block and NAC (Notified Area Council) on Sunday. The event, which also coincides with the birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on April 14, will see a series of programs over the next week, including cleanliness drives, awareness campaigns on government schemes, and public welfare initiatives.

Key Highlights of the Celebrations 

  • Cleanliness Drives: BJP workers conducted Swachhata Abhiyans (cleanliness campaigns) in Dalit colonies, temples, and public spaces. 
  • Public Awareness: Discussions were held to inform citizens about various government welfare schemes, including the Double Engine Government initiatives. 
  • Grievance Redressal: Local issues were discussed, and resolutions were sought by communicating public concerns to the administration. 
  • Flag Hoisting: Party flags were unfurled at BJP offices and workers' homes in areas like Banigochha, Falpada, Nuagaon, Dolamundai, and Duda. 

Historical Significance 

The BJP, founded on April 6, 1980, evolved from the Jana Sangh under the leadership of stalwarts like Atal Bihari Vajpayee and L.K. Advani. Today, as the world’s largest political party, it continues to grow under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership.
