Daspalla: (Report- Subash Chandra Barik): This year, the famous Lankapodi Yatra and Kuanriya Mahotsav of Lord Raghunath Jew will be made more public-friendly. The decision was taken during a crucial meeting organized by the Lankapodi Yatra Committee in the temple premises on Saturday evening. 
The meeting, chaired by Kandhamal MP Sukanta Panigrahi, was attended by local MLA Ramesh Chandra Behera, committee members, and officials. Discussions were held to ensure the smooth and grand celebration of the Lankapodi Yatra and Kuanriya Mahotsav this year. Committee members and workers presented their suggestions, focusing on making the event more engaging for devotees.
Considering the expected large gathering, the Nayagarh district administration will implement extensive measures to maintain law and order. Daspalla Police Station In-Charge assured strict security arrangements.
Additionally, the Merchants’ Association announced that all non-vegetarian markets in Daspalla will remain closed on Ram Navami. Association President Alekh Sahu warned that action would be taken against any violators as per the association’s rules.
Among the dignitaries present at the meeting were Daspalla Tahasildar Smruti Ranjan Satapathy, BDO Sarada Prasanna Mahanty, Electricity SDO Tanmay Kumar Prusti, Police In-Charge Anita Sahu, former Block Chairman Upendra Kumar Sahu, Yatra Committee Secretary Suryamani Das, Co-Secretaries Anjan Das and Sushant Kumar Seth, Treasurer Bhabani Prasad Mishra, Kuanriya Mahotsav Secretary Kishore Chandra Sahu, Hadibandha Mahakhuda, MP’s Block Representative Kishore Chandra Dalabehera, and other intellectuals and prominent figures from the area.
