Bhubaneswar: The "Utkarsh Odisha - Make in Odisha Conclave 2025," Odisha's largest-ever business summit, is anticipated to draw over 7,500 attendees from 20 nations. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Friday reviewed the preparations and expressed confidence that the conclave would usher in a new era of economic growth for the state.

PM Modi to Inaugurate the Grand Business Summit 

The two-day business conclave, scheduled for January 28-29 at Janata Maidan in Bhubaneswar, will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The event is a significant turning point in Odisha's economic plan as it is anticipated to draw international investors, business executives, and legislators. 

An Important Development for the Economy of Odisha 

Chief Minister Majhi emphasised that the summit will significantly alter the industrial landscape of Odisha. The conference intends to provide job opportunities for 3.5 lakh individuals across many industries by signing more than 100 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). 
"Odisha's industrial ecosystem will be strengthened by this conclave, and it will also open up a lot of chances for our farmers, workers, and business owners. A strong and independent economy will be made possible by it," Majhi said. 

Participation of Leading Nations Worldwide 

About 100 foreign delegates will attend the event, representing a number of nations, including Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia. Their presence demonstrates Odisha's rising prominence as a destination for international investment.

Principal Aspects of the Conclave 

The goal of the "Utkarsh Odisha - Made in Odisha Conclave 2025" is to highlight the state's industrial strength, economic potential, and legislative changes. Among the salient features are: 
  • Thematic Sessions: Talks about Women Entrepreneurship, Startup Odisha, and Skilled in Odisha will centre on supporting female entrepreneurs, professionals, and young innovators. 
  • Round Table Meetings: High-level exchanges to promote commercial partnerships between foreign delegations, industry executives, and government representatives. 
  • 150 exhibitors participate in the Make in Odisha Expo, a large event that gives businesses a stage on which to display their most recent inventions and goods, products, and services. The expo will be open to the public on January 30. 
  • Cultural Extravaganza: The state’s culture department has arranged a special performance by Padma Shri Aruna Mohanty, one of Odisha’s most celebrated Odissi dancers. Additionally, a spectacular drone show is planned to mesmerize attendees. 

The Growing Industrial Potential of Odisha 

Odisha's pro-business policies, highly qualified workforce, and advantageous location have made it a popular destination for investment. Because to the state government's aggressive promotion of sectors including agriculture, IT, textiles, metallurgy, and renewable energy, the state is becoming a desirable location for both domestic and foreign investors.
