Nayagarh (15/01): (Report- Sanatan Mahakud): Nayagarh Police took a unique step to nurture student creativity and awareness through ‘Kalika,’ a special talent development program. The event, led by SP S. Sushree, IPS, aimed to encourage students to express their talents and learn about important social issues like road safety and cybercrime.
SP S. Sushree, who cleared the UPSC exam at just 22 years old in 2018, played a key role in organizing this program. She wanted students to not only showcase their skills but also gain awareness about real-world issues through competitions.
Over 160 students participated in various contests, making the event a grand success. Some of the key competitions included:
Renowned theatre artist and translator Sarat Chandra Acharya attended the event and shared his thoughts on the importance of such programs. He felt honored to be part of an initiative that motivates young minds.
The event received praise from several top police officials, including Subash Chandra Panda (Additional SP, Nayagarh), Bhavesh Kumar Nayak (Chairman, Police Training School), Sudarsan Gangoi (SDPO, Nayagarh), Sukanta Patra (DSP, Nayagarh), Dambarudhar Hanoga (RI, Home Guard) and Bijay Kumar Muduli (RI, Arrows).
