Odagaon, 10 January (Report by Sanatan Mahakud): The Odisha Government's School and Mass Education Department, under the State Project Management Unit (PM Poshan), successfully organized a Mandal-level cooking competition at the premises of the Government Upper Primary School, Odagaon. Under the direction of Mandal Education Officer Geetanjali Sahu, the event demonstrated the culinary prowess of midday meal assistants from several Odagaon block clusters.
Twelve midday meal assistants who had performed very well in cluster-level culinary competitions on December 27, 28, and 30 participated in the competition. To ensure a thorough assessment of their culinary proficiency, the assessment criteria covered food safety, sanitation, cooking methods, and taste.
Encouraging Superiority in Preparing Midday Meals
The competition sought to inspire and acknowledge the critical role that midday meal helpers play in providing kids with wholesome and sanitary lunches. As part of the PM Poshan effort, the program also aims to improve the general quality of school meals by encouraging competition.
In addition to celebrating culinary ability, the event served as a testimonial to the commitment of the midday meal assistants, who play a vital role in the wellbeing of pupils throughout the state.

The Winners Will Participate On The District Level Competition
Three champions were chosen at the end of the event to represent the Mandal in the district-level competition:- The top spot was earned by Deepatimayee Sahu of Government High School in Kural.
- Second place went to Minati Nayak of Government Upper Primary School in Komanda.
- Third place went to Manju Nayak of Janata Government High School.
Arranged And Evaluated By Professionals
CRCC Naresh Panigrahi organised the event, and officials Bimal Barik, Swagatika Mahapatra, Sasmita Nayak, Sanjay Kumar Jena, Chinmay Sathu, and Niranjan Rath all actively participated.
