India's 76th Republic Day Will Be Celebrated at Kartavya Path With 10,000 Special Guests

New Delhi: The 76th Republic Day Parade will take place on January 26, 2025, at Kartavya Path in New Delhi, with over 10,000 distinguished guests from a variety of backgrounds. It is marking a historic step to promote more public engagement and inclusion in national events. By recognising unsung heroes and achievers who have made substantial contributions to nation-building and societal advancement, this movement seeks to elevate Jan Bhagidari.

Recognising "Swarnim Bharat's" Architects 

The invitees, who represent the nation's goals and accomplishments, include people who are successful in a variety of sectors and recipients of government programs. Their motivational tales demonstrate the accomplishments of India's revolutionary projects and capture the essence of Atmanirbhar Bharat. 

Special Visitors: A Wide Range of Successful People 

The invitees are representatives of 31 groups of people who have significantly impacted their communities and the country: 
  1. Village Sarpanches: Heads of high-achieving communities who are renowned for their skill in carrying out the government's major programs. 
  2. Disaster Relief Heroes: Employees who have devoted their lives to helping during emergencies. 
  3. SHG Members: Female members of self-help groups who are achieving success in areas such as gender equality, nutrition, and health. 
  4. Mera Bharat Volunteers: Young people using voluntary work to promote social welfare. 
  5. Sports Icons: Medallists from international competitions, members of India's Paralympic team, and other accomplished athletes. 
  6. Start-Up Founders and Patent Holders: Pioneers driving technical and entrepreneurial progress in India. 
  7. Farmers and Environmentalists: Prominent figures in environmental preservation, renewable energy adoption, and sustainable farming. 
  8. Craftspeople and artisans: Talented people protecting India's rich cultural legacy. 

Acknowledgement for Community-Based Success 

After the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances held a national competition, panchayats that reached milestones in six flagship initiatives were specifically chosen. Initiatives under PM-KISAN, PMFBY, PMKSY, and others are among them. 
In addition, local organisations like as Water Warriors, Pani Samitis, and volunteers for forest protection are receiving recognition for their outstanding environmental work. 

Invitees for the First Time 

Some groups are being invited for the first time this year, including: 
  • Recipients of renewable energy programs such as PM KUSUM and PM Surya Ghar. 
  • Rashtriya Gokul Mission participants and artisans from the Van Dhan Vikas Yojana.
