A Magnificent Display of Military Power and Patriotism

President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the national flag to start the procession, which was followed by a 21-gun salute and the playing of the national hymn. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, senior political leaders, and dignitaries, including Indonesia’s President Prabowo Subianto as the chief guest, graced the event. The grand parade featured contingents from the Indian Army, Navy, and Air Force marching in perfect coordination, reflecting India’s military discipline and strength.
The spectacular air display, which featured some 40 aircraft, including 22 fighter planes from the Indian Air Force, soaring to the sky, was a significant highlight of the festivities. As the Rafale, Tejas, and Sukhoi Su-30 MKI displayed amazing flying formations, onlookers were enthralled. The aerial superiority was further enhanced by Army Aviation's Apache helicopters and the Indian Navy's P-8I surveillance aircraft.

The Crowd Is In Awe Of The Daredevil Stunts

The crowd erupted in cheers when the Indian Army's fearless motorbike squad, the Tornadoes, executed stunts that defied gravity. Their precise movements, human pyramids, and coordinated formations represented the Indian military's attitude of fearlessness.
In addition, the parade showcased India's domestic defence capabilities including the Agni-V missile, the Arjun Mk-1A main battle tank, and the Akash surface-to-air missile system. In keeping with this year's theme of "Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas" (Golden India – Heritage and Development), the women-led contingents from the three services demonstrated the expanding involvement of women in India's armed forces.

Five Thousand Artists in a Cultural Extravaganza

The Republic Day festivities highlighted India's cultural diversity as well as its military might. nearly 45 traditional dance genres were performed by nearly 5,000 performers, symbolising the nation's unity in diversity. India's accomplishments, historical landmarks, and future goals were exquisitely portrayed by the tableaux from different states and government departments.
This year, hundreds of people were able to peacefully watch the magnificent sight thanks to the improved viewing experience offered by the enlarged Kartavya Path. Bands from the Indian military performed patriotic songs at the event's highly anticipated Beating Retreat Ceremony, which left the crowd feeling proud of their country.
