New Delhi: In a significant move to strengthen India’s manufacturing sector, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a private enterprise to nurture and support startups specializing in manufacturing and production. This strategic collaboration aligns with the government’s mission to promote innovation, enhance global competitiveness, and build a robust entrepreneurial ecosystem in India’s industrial landscape.

Under this partnership, DPIIT aims to introduce a structured incubation program that will provide emerging entrepreneurs with industry expertise, mentorship, and access to market intelligence. Shri Sanjiv, Joint Secretary, DPIIT, emphasized the broader impact of this initiative, stating: 
"India’s manufacturing industry is on the cusp of a major transformation. By integrating innovative startups with established enterprises, we aim to create a dynamic business environment that fuels sustainable growth, generates employment, and propels India towards global manufacturing leadership." 
This MoU is part of the government's broader "Make in India" and "Startup India" initiatives, reinforcing its commitment to making India a preferred destination for manufacturing-driven entrepreneurship.

Welcoming the collaboration, a senior representative from the private firm remarked:
