Shri Ramakrishna Seva Ashram Distributes Blankets to the Needy

Kolkata (18/12): Report by Sanatan Mahakud: In a commendable act of social service, Shri Ramakrishna Seva Ashram, with support from Moina Seva Foundation Kolkata, organized a two-phase blanket distribution drive in Odisha's Khordha district. During the current cold wave, this program was designed to help the less fortunate.

Phase One: Kantilo Kendupalli Distribution 

Warm blankets were distributed to 120 people in Kantilo Kendupalli during the drive's initial phase. These people, who included old men and women, people with disabilities, and people from lower socioeconomic groups, showed their appreciation for the considerate act. 

Phase Two: Outreach in the District of Nayagarh 

The distribution in the second phase took place in the Nayagarh district's Gayatri Prangyapith, Odagan. Residents of the villages of Nuasahi, Dondar, Bhadikila, and Baunsagadia were among the additional 120 recipients. The receivers, who came from underprivileged families, ethnic groups, and marginalised populations were overjoyed to get the much-needed blankets. 

Prominent Participants 

Vijay Kumar Mahapatra, President of the Shri Ramakrishna Seva Ashram, led the ceremony, with important assistance from Raj Kishore Chhualasingh and Sarveshwar Sahu. Furthermore, Gayatri Parivar's Jayashree Sahu was instrumental in planning the distribution. In order to guarantee the program's success, Gayatri Parivar members also offered their assistance. 

A Valuable Effort in the Face of Severe Winter 

For those who were less fortunate, this campaign proved to be a ray of hope as the winter cold became worse. Shri Ramakrishna Seva Ashram and its allies demonstrated the genuine meaning of compassion and community service by attending to the urgent needs of marginalised communities. 
In addition to improving the lives of those in need, such worthwhile projects encourage others to support the welfare of society.
