President Droupadi Murmu’s Historic Visit: New Railway Lines, Tribal Research Centre, and Regional Development Projects in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu laid the cornerstones for three new railway lines in the Mayurbhanj district, marking a significant occasion for Odisha. On the last day of her five-day tour to the state, she launched this historic project at the Bangiriposi train station, which aims to revolutionise connections and promote regional development.

Three important railway routes—Badampahar-Kendujhargarh, Burarama-Chakulia, and Bangiriposi-Gorumahisani—were opened by the president. These lines have the potential to greatly improve communication between the tribal-dominated districts of Mayurbhanj and Keonjhar and other areas of Odisha, opening up enormous opportunities for both tourist and industrial development in these mineral-rich areas. 

Improving Healthcare Facilities and Tribal Welfare 

President Murmu virtually opened the Tribal Research and Development Centre at Rairangpur as a gesture demonstrating her dedication to tribal welfare. It is anticipated that this facility would act as a focal point for researching and resolving the socioeconomic issues that indigenous people confront. 
Additionally, the President used video conferencing to lay the groundwork for important infrastructure projects, such as: 
Dandbose Airport will be upgraded to enhance regional aviation connections. 
A new building at the Rairangpur Sub-Divisional Hospital with the goal of improving community health care. 

A Comprehensive Schedule of Developmental Activities 

President Murmu participated in a number of noteworthy activities during her visit that demonstrated her commitment to the development of Odisha. 

1. Contributions to Education and Spirituality: 

She visited the Gopabandhu Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya's 75th anniversary festivities after doing a ceremonial puja at Puri's famed Jagannath Temple on Wednesday. 

2. Celebration of Indian Navy Day: 

The Indian Navy Day celebrations at Puri's Blue Flag beach that same evening had President Murmu as the main guest. Her attendance at the function demonstrated how important maritime security is. 

3. Judicial and Academic Milestones: 

She went to the 40th Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) convocation in Bhubaneswar on Thursday. 
She later officially opened the Khordha legal Court Complex, which was a major step towards improving the state's legal system.

President Murmu was greeted with emotion and warmth when she visited her hometown of Uparbeda in Mayurbhanj on Friday. She demonstrated her strong ties to her town and culture by dancing with local tribal ladies in a heartwarming scene that captured hearts all around the nation.

President Droupadi Murmu's five-day tour to Odisha demonstrated her steadfast commitment to the advancement of the state. She has set a new course for Odisha's development while honouring its rich cultural legacy by establishing the foundation for revolutionary initiatives in connectivity, tribal welfare, healthcare, and education.
