A batch of 331 Agniveers took an oath to serve the Nation during an impressive Passing Out Parade on 03 Dec 2024 at Varanasi. The parade was reviewed by Brig Anirban Datta, SM, Commandant 39 Gorkha Training Centre. 
The Agniveers made the transition from young lads to disciplined soldiers, after 31 weeks of Basic and Advance Combat Training. Gorkha Training Centres excel in building capabilities and transforming young men into robust, mentally agile, tough and battle hardy soldiers. These soldiers are then posted to operational units in active field areas, to safeguard our frontiers.
The Parade was witnessed by a large number of parents of the passing out batch and ex-servicemen. It was indeed an immaculate presentation of military drill. The trainees mesmerised onlookers with their precision and elegance.
The spectacular sight of marching brave men, chest swelled with confidence, brought tears of joy of the eyes of the parents of the trainees.
