As of December 19, 2024, the portal has achieved a milestone with 30.48 crore registrations, marking a transformative shift in India’s labor ecosystem.) The program has garnered worldwide attention in addition to domestic recognition, demonstrating India's dedication to inclusive growth. 

The E-Shram Portal's goals

Centralised Workforce Database: To facilitate effective policymaking and focused welfare program implementation, create a strong database of unorganised workers. 

• Accessibility to Social Security: Provide employees immediate access to programs including health insurance, pension plans, and financial help. 
• work Links: To improve work prospects, assist in skill development and job matching. 
• Labour Market Integration: For comprehensive economic inclusion, close the gap between the formal and unorganised sectors. 
• Financial Inclusion: Encourage direct benefit transfers and online transactions to give employees more financial power. 

Crucial Elements that Rethink Employee Welfare 

Many user-friendly elements that guarantee accessibility and convenience of access are available through the E-Shram Portal: 

• Every registered employee is given a Universal Account Number (UAN), which is connected to Aadhaar and allows for easy access to benefits. 
• Simplified Registration: Employees can register for free online at www.eshram.gov.in, at State Seva Kendras (SSKs), or at local Common Services Centres (CSCs). 
• Multilingual Accessibility: In order to serve a varied workforce, the site supports a number of Indian languages. 
• Grievance Redressal: Employee complaints are immediately resolved by a dedicated hotline. 
• Integration of Skill Development: Through the site, employees may find job openings, skilling possibilities, and apprenticeship programs.

Participation on the platform has been tremendous nationwide. The top five states with the most registrations as of December 19, 2024, are: 

• 8,37,45,287 in Uttar Pradesh 
• 2,95,88,748 in Bihar 
• 2,64,06,322 in West Bengal 
• 1,84,48,886 in Madhya Pradesh 
• 1,73,33,185 in Maharashtra 

Recent Advancements and Integrations 

Connectivity to the PM Gati Shakti Portal 

Infrastructure development and workforce planning are now in line thanks to the integration of the E-Shram Portal with the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan. This integration ensures equitable economic growth by generating job opportunities connected to large-scale initiatives. 
2. Recognition Across the Globe 
The site received recognition for its creative response to labour market issues when it was presented at the 112th International Labour Conference (ILC) in Geneva. Additionally, the E-Shram Portal was emphasised as a worldwide labour management standard during India's G20 Presidency. 
3. Improved Access to Social Security 
The site has been connected to programs like: 

• Mantri Pradhan PMJJBY, or Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana 
• Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PMJAY), also known as Ayushman Bharat 
• The National Rural Employment Guarantee Act of Mahatma Gandhi (MGNREGA) 

4. UMANG Mobile Integration 
Workers may now register while on the go thanks to the E-Shram Portal's integration with the UMANG mobile app, which improves accessibility. 
5. "One-Stop-Solution" Functionality 
The Ministry's E-Shram One-Stop-Solution, which consolidated several welfare programs under a single site and gave registered workers a single platform to obtain benefits, was introduced in October 2024.
