Bhubaneswar: Odisha's Chief Minister, Shri Mohan Charan Majhi, chaired a high-level meeting at the Lok Seva Bhavan, focusing on elevating the state’s primary education sector. In a groundbreaking move aimed at improving early education, the Chief Minister announced that the ‘Godabarish Mishra Model Primary School Scheme’ will be launched shortly, marking a major step forward in ensuring quality education for Odisha’s young learners. The plan envisions the establishment of modern model primary schools across all panchayats in the state, setting a new standard for primary education.
Over 6,700 Modern Schools to Be Established Across Odisha
Under the scheme, each panchayat will see the construction of a state-of-the-art primary school, totaling approximately 6,794 new schools. Inspired by the exemplary learning environment at the historic Satyabadi Banavidyalaya, these model schools will foster an ideal educational environment for students, focusing on language skills and foundational mathematics.The Chief Minister emphasized, "We are committed to fostering a supportive and well-rounded educational atmosphere, enabling students to establish solid academic foundations for their future studies."
