Bhubaneswar: Odisha scripted history by clinching the gold medal in the 14th Hockey India Senior Men’s National Championship with a resounding 5-1 victory over Haryana in the final match held at the Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium, Chennai, on Friday.

The match, described as a masterclass in teamwork and strategy, saw Odisha's forward Shilananda Lakra steal the spotlight with a phenomenal hat-trick. He was ably supported by Rajat Akash Tirkey and Pratap Lakra, who netted one goal each, sealing a commanding win for the team.
