Kolkata: (Reported by Sanatan Mahakud): Heritage Institute of Technology (HITK) continues to make its mark on the innovation map as five student teams have successfully secured a place in the Grand Finale of the prestigious Smart India Hackathon 2024. The much-anticipated finale will take place on December 11-12, 2024, in Mangalore, with top innovators from across India competing to showcase their groundbreaking projects.

- SignWave: A web-based software designed to empower the visually challenged and hearing impaired by enhancing accessibility through innovative interfaces.
- Paradox Innovator: A web software focused on Earth Monitoring Systems, providing crucial data for environmental sustainability.
- Connexus: A web application that facilitates Mentor Connect, bridging the gap between industry professionals and students for enhanced learning opportunities.
- Krishi Sahayak: A software solution for farmers, enabling the detection of crop diseases and offering utility in poultry and animal husbandry management.
- The Enigma: A blockchain-based web solution ensuring document security by storing vital records in a centralized, tamper-proof system.
Teams on the Waiting List
Apart from the five finalists, two teams are on the waiting list:- TryVelix: A software for enhanced document security.
- Nirvana Health Chain: A web-based supply chain management system tailored for wholesalers and retailers in the health and pharmacy sectors.
