Cuttack: With just a few days left for the much-anticipated Baliyatra 2024, excitement is building across Odisha. Scheduled from November 15 to November 22 along the Mahanadi riverfront in Cuttack, this year’s festival promises to be a spectacular celebration filled with culture, tradition, and musical performances by some of the nation’s finest artists. Baliyatra, which translates to “Voyage to Bali,” celebrates Odisha’s ancient maritime connections with Southeast Asia, and every year, it grows more vibrant, drawing huge crowds from all over. 

Musical Highlights: 13 Popular Artists, Featuring Sonu Nigam 

This year, the musical lineup is one of the most impressive in recent times, featuring 13 popular singers who will captivate audiences with their performances across the festival’s duration. The highlight for many will undoubtedly be Padma Shri awardee Sonu Nigam, who is scheduled to perform on the fourth evening, alongside fellow celebrated artists. 
Here’s a look at the lineup of performers across different days: 

• Opening Night: The festival will kick off with a bang as Padma Shri awardee and iconic bhajan singer Anup Jalota takes the stage, followed by a special performance from Pankaj Jal, known for his Sambalpuri folk hits. 
• Second Evening: Fans can look forward to Tansen Singh and Asima Panda, each bringing a unique flavor to the festival’s musical journey. 
• Third Evening: Rapper Big Deal will bring his energetic rhymes and beats, a change from traditional music but expected to appeal to the younger crowd. 
• Fourth Evening: The night everyone is waiting for, as Sonu Nigam graces the stage. Also performing will be Satyajit Pradhan and Shashank, offering a mix of Bollywood, Odia, and Indian fusion.
