Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) was born on August 23, 1968, in Delhi. From a young age, he showed a passion for music, which he carried with him throughout his school years and his time at Delhi University’s Kirori Mal College. Before fully pursuing a career in music, KK briefly worked in marketing, but it didn’t take long before his unique talent and expressive voice drew him toward his true calling.

Debuting in Bollywood and Rising to Stardom 

Krishnakumar Kunnath (KK) made his Bollywood debut as a playback singer in 1996 with the iconic song “Chhod Aaye Hum” from the film Maachis. His untimely death left a void in Indian music, with fans and fellow musicians mourning the loss of an irreplaceable talent.

He won two Screen Awards and was nominated for six Filmfare Awards, a testament to his excellence and enduring popularity.
