Free Ayushman Health Camp Held at Community Health Center

Daspala: (Reported by Subash Chandra  Barik): In a significant initiative, a free Ayushman Health Camp was successfully organized by the Community Health Center on Monday. This camp aimed to provide essential health check-ups for the general public and offered various specialized services, particularly for adolescents and young adults. The camp's services included free health screenings for diseases such as tuberculosis, leprosy, malaria, and dengue, under the supervision of the Family Welfare Department. Additionally, free medications were distributed to those in need. 


The event witnessed the participation of many medical professionals and local authorities. Dr. Nambakrushna Sahu, a renowned specialist from the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, played a vital role in the camp’s medical services. The local sarpanch, Sasmita Pradhan, inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon, marking the official start of the health camp. 

Dr. Antaryami Sahu, the in-charge of the Goshthi Health Center, ensured smooth operations throughout the camp. Other notable attendees included Block Coordinator Mr. Tusar Ranjan Sahu and Mr. Purnachandra Kabi, who significantly contributed to organizing the event. 

The health camp emphasized the importance of preventive healthcare and created awareness among the community, particularly the younger generation, about maintaining a healthy lifestyle. The camp not only addressed common diseases but also provided a special ‘Shraddha Clinic’ for adolescents, ensuring a holistic approach to health. 

This event served as a reminder of the importance of accessible healthcare for all sections of society, reinforcing the government's mission of ensuring health for all through initiatives like the Ayushman Bharat program. The Community Health Center has once again proven to be a pillar of support for the local community, with this camp being one of many future health initiatives planned to benefit the public.
