Sambalpur - A landmark announcement has brought a wave of excitement to the people of Sambalpur, as Chief Minister Mohan Majhi revealed plans for the establishment of Odisha's second AIIMS at Sambalpur district. The declaration, made during the inauguration of the CM-Kisan Yojana at GM University auditorium, marks a significant milestone in the state's healthcare development.

The state government has already placed a formal request for the establishment of the AIIMS in Sambalpur with the central government. Majhi expressed confidence that the proposal would be accepted, given the growing healthcare needs of the region and the strategic importance of Sambalpur as a central location. 

CM-Kisan Yojana and Krushi Vidya Nidhi Yojana 

The announcement of the new AIIMS was not the only good news for the people of Odisha. During the same event, the Chief Minister also launched the CM-Kisan Yojana, a major initiative aimed at supporting the state’s farmers. As part of this scheme, nearly 46 lakh farmers across Odisha received financial assistance totaling Rs 925 crore. 

In addition, Majhi introduced the Krushi Vidya Nidhi Yojana, a scholarship program designed to provide educational opportunities for the children of CM-Kisan Yojana beneficiaries. This initiative will enable children from farming families to pursue higher education in technical fields, giving them access to better career opportunities.
