Kolkata: (Rrported by Sanatan Mahakuda): Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal, Director of the International Institute of Lifestyle Medicine, was recently honoured with the esteemed Dr. J.N. Kanjilal Memorial Award. This prestigious recognition was given to him for his exceptional contributions to society, especially in the field of homoeopathy. The award ceremony took place during the 116th birthday celebration of the renowned Dr. J.N. Kanjilal on August 31st, 2024, at the Birla Museum Auditorium in Kolkata. The event was organized by The Homoeopathic Medical Association of India.
Dr. Agarwal received the award from Dr. Bhabatosh Biswas, Former Vice Chancellor of State Health University. This award serves as a testament to Dr. Agarwal's relentless efforts to improve the well-being of society and his influential role in promoting homoeopathic practices.
The event was a reflection of respect and remembrance, as a moment of silence was observed to honour a lady doctor who was tragically murdered while on duty at R.G. Kar Hospital. The gathering paid their respects by standing in silence for two minutes.
