Yechury’s Hospitalization and Treatment

Yechury was initially admitted to AIIMS after experiencing a high fever and related symptoms. Medical tests later confirmed an acute respiratory infection. The CPI(M) issued a statement confirming his critical status, noting that Yechury is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) under the care of a multi-disciplinary team of doctors. Health Deterioration and Medical History

Yechury’s health condition reportedly worsened following a bout of pneumonia, which necessitated his hospital admission. While initial reports suggested that his condition was stable and that there was "nothing serious," subsequent complications have led to the need for advanced medical support. The infection affecting his respiratory system has significantly impacted his overall health, placing him in critical care.

It is worth noting that the 71 years old leader had recently undergone cataract surgery, raising concerns about his overall immune system response and recovery process. As of now, the focus remains on managing his acute respiratory infection and monitoring his vital signs closely.

His critical health condition has, therefore, caused widespread concern not only within the party but also among his political counterparts and the public.

Current Medical Status and Next Steps

As of now, doctors at AIIMS are continuing to assess Yechury’s condition, with the primary goal of improving his respiratory function. His treatment involves advanced medical support, and doctors are hopeful for gradual improvement. However, given the severity of his infection and existing health factors, his condition remains delicate. .The CPI(M) has committed to providing regular updates regarding Yechury's health status through official channels, as the public and party members await hopeful news.
