The Heritage School Kolkata Triumphs at The Telegraph School Awards 2024

Kolkata, August 24, 2024: The Heritage School, Kolkata, proudly added another feather to its cap by winning The Telegraph School of the Year Award 2024 for Overall Excellence in School Education. The prestigious award ceremony, organized by The Telegraph Foundation, took place at the Science City Auditorium, celebrating schools that have made significant contributions to education. 

This recognition marks the fourth time The Heritage School has received this honor, filling the entire Heritage family with pride and joy. The award is a testament to the school's unwavering commitment to excellence across academics, extracurricular activities, and social service.

Mr. Pradip Kumar Agarwal, Chief Executive Officer of the Heritage Group of Institutions, Kolkata, expressed his gratitude to the entire school community. "I congratulate our Principal, Ms. Seema Sapru, and the dedicated team of teachers for winning this prestigious award. This achievement motivates us to continue our efforts in nurturing and guiding every student toward success. I also thank the Trustees, parents, students, alumni, and well-wishers who have been an integral part of this journey," he said. 

Ms. Seema Sapru, Principal of The Heritage School, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the collective efforts of everyone involved. "This award is a reflection of our hard work and dedication to making our school a place of distinction not only in academics but also in extracurricular activities. I thank all the trustees, parents, teachers, and students who have supported us throughout this journey." 

The Telegraph School Awards 2024, in its 29th edition, also saw the presentation of the Kalyan Bharti Trust Award for All-Round Excellence. This award, supported by the Kalyan Bharti Trust, the parent body behind The Heritage Group of Institutions, was awarded to Krittika Sinha from La Martiniere School for Girls and Prisha Bahety from Mahadevi Birla World Academy. 

In addition to winning the School of the Year Award, The Heritage School received multiple other honors: 

  • Honour certificate for Excellence in Maintenance and Eco-Friendly Initiatives. 
  • Honour certificate for Excellence in Academics (ICSE & ISC). 
  • Honour certificate for Social Service. 
  • Honour certificate for Excellence in Extracurricular Activities. 
  • Certificate of Appreciation for being a "School That Cares." 

The school also celebrated the achievements of six students who were recognized for their academic and extracurricular excellence. 

A special individual honor, the Eveready Shining Star Honour, was awarded to Mr. Manoj Das, a school employee for 20 years. He was recognized for his dedication in delivering textbooks and stationery to students' homes during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

This year’s Telegraph School Awards highlighted the commitment and hard work of educational institutions in making a difference in the lives of students and the community. The Heritage School's continued success serves as an inspiration to many.
