Bhawanipatna: Sempur Shishu Vidyamandir recently came alive with creativity and curiosity as the school organized a vibrant Science Fair for its students. The event was held within the school premises and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes 1 to 8. The fair was designed to ignite the young minds' interest in science and mathematics through hands-on projects and experiments.
The Principal of the school, Mr. Tikadev Sahu, inaugurated the fair with an inspiring speech. He emphasized the importance of science in everyday life and encouraged students to pursue their scientific interests with dedication and curiosity. The chief guest for the event was Mr. Bhikari Charan Sahu, the Chairman of the school’s management committee. Two distinguished science teachers from nearby schools, Mr. Prashant Sahu from Karlaguda High School and Mr. Anurag Hota from Salevata High School, were invited to judge the projects. A total of 97 projects were presented at the fair, covering a range of topics in both science and mathematics. The projects demonstrated the students’ understanding of various concepts and their ability to apply them in creative ways. From simple machines and models of the solar system to experiments demonstrating chemical reactions, the fair was a showcase of talent and hard work.
The highlight of the event was the award ceremony, where outstanding projects were recognized and rewarded. The chief guest, along with the judges, handed out certificates and prizes to the top performers. Mr. Gangadhar Chalan, the science teacher of the school, delivered a detailed speech, emphasizing the role of teachers and parents in nurturing the scientific curiosity of children.
