Odisha Government Investigates Allegations Against 91 Block Development Officers (BDOs)

BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha government has launched an investigation into 91 Block Development Officers (BDOs) across the state following various allegations of misconduct. The state government is considering disciplinary action against the BDOs based on these complaints. 

Panchayati Raj Minister Ravi Narayan Nayak confirmed the investigation during a recent assembly session. In response to a question by BJD MLA Prashant Behera, Minister Nayak stated that the government is taking the allegations seriously and reviewing the cases thoroughly. The inquiry is still ongoing, and any necessary actions will be taken based on the findings.
