New MLAs and MPs Felicitated by BJP in Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Emphasizes Equality and Development

Bhubaneswar, 4th August 2024 – In a grand event held in Bhubaneswar, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a ceremony to honor the newly elected Members of Legislative Assembly (MLAs) and Members of Parliament (MPs). The event, held by the BJP’s Scheduled Tribes (ST) Morcha, witnessed a gathering of prominent leaders and enthusiastic supporters.

Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi graced the occasion as the chief guest. In his speech, he highlighted the ongoing challenges faced by the Harijan and Adivasi communities. “Despite significant progress, Harijans and Adivasis remain in the backward sections of our society,” said Majhi. 

The Chief Minister stressed the importance of uplifting these communities. “Empowering the Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) is our primary goal. We are committed to their comprehensive development,” he affirmed. Majhi pointed out that notable leaders, including the President of India and the Chief Minister of Odisha, belong to these communities, exemplifying their potential and contributions to the nation. 

The ceremony was not just about speeches but also about recognizing the hard work and achievements of the newly elected representatives. They were felicitated for their dedication and service to the community. This event was a testament to the BJP’s commitment to inclusivity and development for all sections of society. 

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, State BJP President Manmohan Samal, and State President of Janjati Morcha and Minister Nityananda Gond were among the distinguished guests. The presence of all ministers and senior leaders underscored the significance of the event. 

Before the main ceremony, a special program was held at Rabindra Mandap where all newly elected SC and ST MPs and MLAs were felicitated. This prelude event set the tone for the larger celebration that followed. 

Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram, in his address, echoed the Chief Minister’s sentiments. “Our mission is to ensure that no community is left behind. We are working tirelessly to bring about holistic development for the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes,” he said. 

State BJP President Manmohan Samal emphasized the party’s dedication to social justice. “The BJP is committed to creating a society where everyone has equal opportunities. Today’s event is a step towards recognizing and celebrating the achievements of our elected representatives from the SC and ST communities,” he stated.
