Gania Regional Journalists Association Holds Key Meeting at Mahanadi Public School

Gania, August 7, 2024— (Reported by Manas Ranjan Das): The Mahanadi Public School premises in Gania recently became the venue for an important meeting of the Gania Regional Journalists Association. This meeting saw active participation from the association’s members, including key figures like Akhil Bihari Panigrahi, the permanent president, and Devi Prasad Dash, the executive president. The event also had vice president Saroj Kumar Dash, secretary Brajabandhu Dehuri, joint secretary Priyabrata Sadangi, and treasurer Bijaya Lakshmi Raut in attendance, along with several other dedicated members.

The meeting began with a warm welcome from the president, Akhil Bihari Panigrahi, who shared his vision for the association’s future. Panigrahi highlighted the need for the association to be proactive and stay updated with the latest developments in journalism and technology. 

During the meeting, the secretary, Brajabandhu Dehuri, stressed the importance of reporting accurate and truthful news. He encouraged all members to prioritize the integrity of their news stories and remain active on social media platforms. Dehuri's advice aimed at ensuring that their news reaches a wider audience and maintains its credibility.

Executive president Devi Prasad Dash echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the significance of presenting genuine news to the public. He pointed out that with 22 active members, the association has the potential to make a substantial impact on local journalism. Dash urged everyone to focus on delivering news that is not only factual but also relevant to the community. 

The meeting also touched upon the association’s role beyond journalism. Pankaj Kumar Sahu called for members to engage in social activities that benefit the community. He stressed that as a registered body, the association should contribute to social causes and not limit its activities to just journalism.
