Daspalla: (Reported by Subash chandra Barik): A free health camp was recently organized in the tribal-dominated Kalasakhmana Panchayat of Daspalla Block. The event took place at the Government Upper High School premises in Ulisahi. This camp was a collaborative effort between the Indian Youth Medical Association, Odisha Branch, and the Sitaram Youth Club, Daspalla.
Under the leadership of Dr. Chinmay Sahu, President of the Indian Youth Medical Association, experienced doctors from various districts across Odisha participated in this noble initiative. They provided medical treatment to the patients and distributed free medicines. In total, 315 patients received treatment during the camp, addressing various health issues. In addition to medical care, a blood donation camp was also organized, where 60 units of blood were collected to support local hospitals and clinics.
The event began with an inaugural ceremony, where Daspalla MLA, Shri Ramesh Chandra Behera, attended as the chief guest. During the event, he appreciated the efforts of the doctors and organizers, highlighting the importance of such initiatives in rural and tribal areas. Among the other prominent attendees were former Block Chairman Upendra Kumar Sahu, Sarpanch Rashmita Mallick, and Block Education Officer Bhakti Binod Sahu. They also praised the dedication of the medical professionals and encouraged more such events in the future.
The health camp was made successful with the active involvement of the club officials, school staff, students, and the local community. Their collective efforts ensured that the event was well-organized and beneficial to all who attended. Events like these play a crucial role in improving the health and well-being of people in remote and underserved areas.
