Berhampur: Mahan Sangh, a prominent organization known for its community service, cultural programs, sports, education, health, environment, and relief work, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a significant announcement. The organization has decided to establish a state-of-the-art, 100-bed hospital in the region, aiming to provide high-quality healthcare services. The hospital will be dedicated to serving both the general public and senior citizens.
At a preparatory meeting held today at the Gayatri Hotel conference hall, Mahan Sangh President, Mr. Sushant Kumar Sabat, chaired the discussion. The decision to move forward with the hospital project was finalized during the meeting. Additionally, the organization plans to set up a shelter home for orphaned children and a senior care facility, marking another step toward providing essential services to the community.
During the meeting, Mr. Sabat emphasized the importance of celebrating the organization's milestone by continuing to focus on public welfare activities. He suggested commemorating the Swarnakshatra Divas and highlighted the need for additional community service initiatives.
Mr. Prakash Bhajani, Executive Secretary of Mahan Sangh, provided details of the upcoming projects, while Dr. Sandhya Pattnayak offered a vote of thanks to conclude the meeting.
The meeting also focused on addressing various social issues. Mrs. Deviprabha Rath, the head of Mahan Sangh's women's wing, proposed the establishment of a women’s library and discussed solutions for the growing stray dog problem in the city. These initiatives received support from the members present.
Notable attendees of the meeting included Dr. Soochana Padhy, Dr. Saubhagya Lakshmi, Sucheta Panigrahi, Prafulla Patra, Sabita Sahukar, Dr. Dhanalakshmi Pattnaik, Mrs. Rajashree Dash, Bhishmacharya Chowdhury, Somik Sahu, Rakesh Singdeo, Seemanchal Panigrahi, Sudip Sahu, Basudev Sahukar, Ashish, and Prins, along with several other members of the organization.
