Pragyan Foundation Hosts Successful Interfaith Dialogue on Peace

KOLKATA: On 9th July 2024, Pragyan Foundation organised a highly impactful Interfaith Seminar under the chairmanship of Dr. Suresh Kumar Agarwal. The seminar aimed to foster mutual understanding and respect among various religious communities.


The event featured Swami Vishwa Ananda as the Chief Guest, who delivered an inspiring speech on the essence of unity and harmony among different faiths. He highlighted how all religions ultimately guide humanity towards love, compassion, and peace, striking a chord with the diverse audience and setting a tone of mutual respect and understanding.


Dr. S K Agarwal, President of Pragyan Foundation, also made a significant contribution with a thought-provoking address. He discussed the importance of interfaith dialogue and provided historical and contemporary examples of successful initiatives that have contributed to social cohesion and conflict resolution. Dr. Agarwal stressed the need for continuous dialogue and collaboration among religious communities to build a more harmonious world. His lecture was well-received and sparked meaningful discussions among the participants.


A notable highlight of the seminar was the presentation of Dr. Agarwal's latest book, “Bhagawat Gita for Students, Youths and Householders”. The book was presented to Swami Vishwa Ananda as a token of appreciation for his contributions to promoting religious harmony. This gesture symbolised the exchange of knowledge and the strengthening of interfaith bonds.


The seminar saw active participation from a range of individuals including R R Agarwal, Indrajit Dastidar, Dr. Namita Chakraborty, Preeti Duggar, Sarita Jaiswal, Geeta Sinha, Amit Roy, Faiz Alam, Armina Shahaf, Lipika Lunia, Chandra Chatterjee, Beena Khurasia, Swapna Mahapatra, Ratna Sen, and many others. Chandan Agarwal, CEO of Pragyan Foundation, served as the convenor of the programme.


Overall, the seminar successfully promoted mutual respect and understanding among diverse religious groups, underscoring the importance of interfaith dialogue in fostering global peace and unity.
