Bhubaneswar: Odisha Deputy Chief Minister KV Singh Deo recently spoke to ANI about a significant pre-budget consultation meeting held in the state. He explained that this meeting was organized to gather inputs from various stakeholders before finalizing the upcoming state budget.

"We had announced that prior to the budget being announced and placed before the Assembly, we would like the stakeholders, people who can give us inputs on how to have a people-friendly budget and what should be included so that the development of the state, along with the stakeholders, can be done," said Singh Deo.

He added that the meeting saw the participation of three former finance ministers, who shared their valuable insights and suggestions. "We had 3 ex-finance ministers who attended the meeting and gave inputs," he noted.

Singh Deo emphasized the importance of this budget as it will be the first one presented by the BJP government in the state. "Since this is the first budget of the BJP government, I am sure we will rise to the occasion," he said confidently.

The aim of these consultations is to ensure that the budget reflects the needs and aspirations of the people of Odisha, paving the way for holistic development across the state.
