Successful Flight Test of DRDO's Phase-II Ballistic Missile Defence System

On 24th July 2024, the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) achieved a significant milestone by successfully flight-testing its Phase-II Ballistic Missile Defence System. At 4:20 PM, a target missile was launched from LC-IV Dhamra, simulating an enemy ballistic missile. This missile was promptly detected by weapon system radars stationed both on land and at sea, which then activated the Air Defence (AD) Interceptor system. Four minutes later, at 4:24 PM, the Phase-II AD Endo-atmospheric missile was launched from LC-III at the Integrated Test Range (ITR) in Chandipur. The test was a complete success, meeting all trial objectives and validating the sophisticated network-centric warfare weapon system. This system includes long-range sensors, a low-latency communication network, a missile control centre (MCC), and advanced interceptor missiles.

The event, titled "Cricket at the Olympics - Dawn of a New Era," will be held on the evening of 28th July at Parc de La Villette. This exclusive discussion, brought by Dream Sports as the Principal Partner of India House, will feature Geoff Allardice, CEO of the International Cricket Council; Rahul Dravid, a beloved and respected cricketer who recently coached India to the T20 World Cup title; and Harsh Jain, CEO and Co-Founder of Dream Sports.
