Kolkata: In this year's budget, the Indian government has increased the funding for the education and skill development sectors by 6.8%. This means the total budget is now Rs. 1.48 lakh crores. This increase is very good news for students who want to pursue higher studies and learn new skills.

Mr. Pradip Agarwal, the CEO of the Heritage Group of Institutions in Kolkata, shared his thoughts on this news. He believes that this bigger budget will help many students have a brighter future. One important part of this new budget is the education loans. Students can now get loans up to Rs. 10 lakhs at a very low-interest rate of just 3%. This will help one crore young people who dream of going to college or university but worry about the cost.

Another exciting part of the budget is the introduction of paid internships at 500 top companies. These internships will pay students Rs. 5000 every month. Mr. Agarwal thinks these internships are a great idea because they will help students get real-world experience. This experience will make them more employable and ready to meet the needs of different industries.

Mr. Agarwal also mentioned that these internships would be part of the companies' Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities. This means companies will be giving back to society by helping students. This move will also strengthen the relationship between industries and educational institutions, which will benefit students even more.

In addition to these points, the budget also focuses on improving skill development programs. This means there will be more opportunities for students to learn new skills that are in demand in today’s job market.

Overall, Mr. Agarwal is very positive about the changes in this year's budget. He believes that with more money and new programs, students will have better opportunities to achieve their dreams. This budget is a big step towards making education more accessible and useful for everyone in India.
