This new scheme, which promises Rs 50,000 to women within 100 days, is still in its draft stage. Odisha's Deputy Chief Minister, Pravati Parida, recently made a plea to media outlets in the state, asking them to refrain from broadcasting confusing or misleading information about the Subhadra Yojana.

In her statement, Parida emphasized the importance of accurate reporting. "I have repeatedly informed everyone that the Subhadra Yojana is currently in the draft stage. We are committed to ensuring that women will receive the promised Rs 50,000 within 100 days. However, since the scheme is not yet finalized, it is not appropriate to spread speculation about who will be eligible or who might be excluded," she said. She appealed to media houses to focus on official government communications instead of speculating on the details, which could lead to confusion among the public. “Media should support the government’s efforts by broadcasting accurate information and avoiding unnecessary speculation,” she added.

Parida also pointed out that the scheme was a significant part of the BJP's election manifesto, and its approval by the Cabinet underscores the government's commitment to implementing it. She assured that detailed information about the Subhadra Yojana would be provided to the public in due course, once the draft is finalized.

The Deputy Chief Minister made these remarks at a function organized by the Tourism Department, titled ‘Maa Painee Gachha Tie’ (A Tree for Mother). At this event, she encouraged department employees to take part in tree-planting activities. She announced that 2,000 trees would be planted over the coming week, with a detailed report on this initiative to be sent to the Prime Minister. Furthermore, Parida mentioned that the government is working on an agenda to promote rural tourism in Odisha, recognising its potential to boost the state's economy and improve the livelihoods of rural communities.

By urging the media to cooperate with the government and provide accurate information, Pravati Parida aims to ensure that the Subhadra Yojana is communicated effectively to the public, thereby avoiding any unnecessary confusion or misinformation.
